Why Am I On Blogger?

For the past few years I have run a blog hosted on my own domain using wordpress. I tended to fiddle with lots of settings and waste a bit of time keeping everything up to date. Not that much time but some.

Later I created a website for some stuff I have created for android phones using weebly.com. One nice thing was I was no longer responsible for security and so on. I just go to the website to create content and don't have to manage anything. It is nice.

Well ok I actually hosted about 4 sites on with my hosting company (Whom shall remain nameless for now) so maintenance work was multiplied by four. A couple of them were for my other half. She later moved to weebly as she prefered the interface that weebly presented. It gave her the confidence to fiddle with settings and felt more in control of her site.

Last week on my blog some one managed to get it to display some sort of pay pal link. Something that is malicious and my web hosting company decided to suspend my account. They contacted me say they will unsuspend the account when I around to delete the link. not problem there except so far I have asked three times and they have not responded. mmm I am paying for the this service.

I am pretty annoyed bit it did make me realise that it is just a simple blog so should I even bother hosting it myself? Most people don't unless they are trying to make money from it. I am not so I have decided to move to a hosted service and then never have to worry about upgrading systems or any form of maintenance. I just login and create content. Oh and occasionally change the theme :)

I would still like to get my hosted blog unsuspended and then suck out all the blogs and put them on an free wordpress.com account so they are not lost. It does consist of 3 years worth of post (about 200 posts).
