May Update (2012)

Wow time is slipping by quite quickly at the moment while progress on projects seems to be the opposite.

I am in the middle or preparing another update to days until. Yep another small update to this little app. I still feel it needs a UI update but that is another story.

I have spent a little bit of time working on the next app for android. But also extended my list of apps I want to make by another couple of items. I am probably going to make all my new apps android 4.0 or above just to have a more modern bottom line. From a being popular now point of view it is probably not a good idea but from a motivational, look shiny new stuff, I like the idea.

Gaming wise I have not really progressed much on that. Although I did show my son the latest version of it and he quite liked the look of it and was firing ideas at me as fast as he could talk. Given he is only 8 some of the ideas where pretty good and some may make it into the game. This may indicate we let him play games a little too much.

I have ordered a new phone. It is a HTC One V. That is the bottom end of that series of phones although it is probably considered mid range for all android phones. I am not that cost sensitive on phones but I wanted something I did not mind breaking when the children climb over me when play fighting. I also cycle and run quite a bit, it seems to rain all the time here so again a water logged phone is highly likely. A phone that just slides into my pocket was a must and higher end phones all seem so big but nice.

I am also in the market for a new laptop but it looks like the transition from sandy bridge to ivy bridge is on going. I will probably wait for a couple more months to let that happen. Is it me or do most laptops seem to be stuck at some low resolution for the past few years. Given the progression we have had with phones screen in the past 5 years I would have thought laptop screens would be double what they are. My laptop has a higher resolution screen then most new laptops at the price point I paid well over 2 years ago.
