This past few days I have again been productive on project 2 of the year. I now have the core "engine" in place. It is a fun little web app to play with.
I am currently on to making a little website to hold the web application. That means having a landing page to explain what it is all about, just enough to get it launched. The idea is for it to appeal to all sorts of people so it won't being going straight onto marblemice as apparently some people get put off by websites with a black theme :)
I can understand that. I mainly chose a black style as games usually look better when presented with a black background. I am not totally happy with colour theme yet but it is getting there.
Soon I will be on to the next learning curve. That is actually using the google app engine as something other than as a place to serve static files. The requirements are quite simple for project 2. Basically a login system (Open ID I am probably looking at you) and store some simple bits of data. It probably won't deviate to much from the learning tutorials that are in the app engine docs.
