For once silence on this blog does not mean I have been distracted from coding. I decided to cut down on the blog posts and focus on some things done.  So what have I been up to?

Lets see I put Working Late up on the chrome web store. I also spent some time searching to see if there are any niche websites that carry news about choose your own adventures. I totally failed to find any. I had hoped to find a few and see if they would post a link to my little attempt at one. I am planning a sort of post-mortem on Working Late sometime in the next month so wont post too much about it at the moment.

I've been exercising my HTML5 canvas knowledge and coding up a few examples. Some of the examples I used to get experience with the chrome profiler and see if I can use my experience of optimising C++ in the JavaScript languages. For the most part you can. I debated on whether to code up some of these examples into tutorials to publish on the web. Even going so far as to start writing one. Eventually I decided while each example was taking less than an hour to write, the tutorials would take far longer.

The examples are motivated by wanting to improve my own JavaScript skills and I figure that time would be better spent coding than writing tutorials. It is possible at some point I may change my mind and work on  writing the tutorial, but not now.  While posts with code in are more popular than posts like this one they do take longer to write.

Finally I am a good few hours into my next project. Not a game this time but a simple application. It is in the area of idea generation and basically computifies (if that was a word) a technique I heard about some time ago. It is not original but I am enjoying getting into JQuery again.

As I am writing this I realised that while the number of game ideas I have out number the application ideas the game ideas are more general and less concrete then the application ideas. I can give very explicit description of all my application ideas.
