Reconsidering Niche Sites

I started creating a niche sites and three quarters of the way through I started to loose motivation.  I pondered this for a while an realised I lot motivation because I was not enjoying it.

Weird, I thought to myself as the topic I had chosen is actually interesting to me. So why was I loosing motivation. There was something in the website building process that was just not fun to me. I was enjoying writing the articles. I want this to be fun so what to do.

At the same time I posted an article on voyaging mind. Slightly off topic and instantly it was getting hits. mmm so if an off topic post can get hits is there a need to create lots of niche websites rather than just one bit website? This site is not really about android programming anymore but most of the hits come from old posts about it.

So after a little thought I thought perhaps I needed a third blog. Once that is free to roam to any topic I choose. Some topics I might find interesting and some might be from more targeted research. Would this let me focus on the fun parts that is research and writing posts and avoid the constant setting up of websites which for some reason, at the moment, seems to demotivate me.

Obviously this is going against the advice many niche website creators and I accept that is the case. Probably having a single blog that roams from one topic to another is doomed to fail. I am happy to experiment and see how it goes.
