23-Sept-12 Update


Well my personal life has taken over the past week or so. This meant not much coding done...

I did managed to get to the bottom of my A-Star bugs. Well I actually just re-wrote the code and it worked perfectly. I don't usually like that when it happen as I prefer to find to fault in my logic and learn from it.

I have sort of realised perhaps what I was planning to make is a little bit to large in scope when I am meant to be growing my skills rather than embarking on my magnum opus. This means I will probably stop that game idea for a while and attempt to decide on use something else.  It seem to be a bit of a pattern with me at the moment. Push out a fairly simple game and then embark on something more complicated then realise I am biting off more than I wan to chew on at the moment.

One area I have identified is my knowledge of libgdx ui side of things is very limited. Perhaps a simple game that lets me mess with that in some small way.

I am currently reading the Joy of clojure. It is pretty good and I am learning a fair bit but also starting to realise that my previous messing around with clojure have actually led me quite a away along the path from noob to intermediate. Clojure so far seem a nice language to play with but at the moment I have not much code.
